Ladybird IoT

Making farming predictable, not just measurable

Established in 2019 and based in Loughborough, we build turnkey tools that take risk out of growing and keep more value in the crop.

What we do

Growing is still one of the least predictable industries there is. We think the data to change that is already in the field — it just hasn't been read.

Our systems guide growers on harvest timing, logistics, disease prediction and yield, and automate farm tasks from what the crop needs in real time. For the first time, the people downstream of the farm gate can see the same field data and the same forecasts the grower does.

That visibility extends shelf life and holds quality up, which is the most direct thing we can do about global food waste. It also opens business models that were not possible when the farm was opaque to everyone outside it.

Now part of HARDWARIO

The Ladybird began at TerraPrima, which became Ladybird IoT under the Mountain IoT Group in August 2024.

In 2026 HARDWARIO acquired the Ladybird assets — the devices, the models and the dashboard — and develops and supports them today. The work carries on with a larger engineering base behind it.
